Group Ride

Thursday’s weather is looking good again. The plan this week is to ride Whiting Trail in Mapleton. Meet at Mad Dog Cycles in Orem at 5:30 pm then we will carpool/drive to the trail head.

This again is open to one and all. But there will be a female contingency as part of the advanced Ride Like a Girl. So if you know of a girl who has been riding for a bit, has some base fitness and skills then be sure to invite her along. This will be less instructive and more like a group ride, but pointers may still be passed along.

Scott and Kendra will be leading the ride. According to Scott, the gate will likely not be open (no water access) so we will meet at the base of the road and climb it car free.

Directions: Exit I-15 at Springville (Exit 260). Head East 2 miles to intersection of Main Street and 400 South. Turn right (South) on Main Street, staying in the right lane toward Highway 89/Price. Continue approximately 2.3 miles to Maple Street. Turn left (East) on Maple/State Hwy 147 for approximately 0.9 mile to Main Street in Mapleton. Turn left (North) on Main Street. Turn right (East) on 400 North. Drive East on 400 North for approximately 2.7 miles until you reach Whiting Campground.
